Young Reporters
The Mother Tongue Language (MTL) Young Reporters Programme aims to provide students with an opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in the field of journalism by offering them a chance to learn about the principles of journalism, such as researching, interviewing, writing, editing, and reporting in their respective mother tongue language. This programme is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to become proficient in the field of journalism, both in terms of theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
The main objective of this programme is to teach students about the importance of media in todayβs world and how it operates. Additionally, it aims to develop their critical thinking and analytical skills by teaching them how to research and report on news stories.
In addition to teaching students about the importance of media, this programme has another objective - to educate them about the various types of media, such as print, broadcast, and online media, and how to effectively utilize them. Furthermore, it aims to enhance their communication skills as they learn to write, speak, and present news stories in a clear and concise manner.
